His music career began at the young age of 17 when he moved to Antwerp to work at Bonzai Records. Early in his career, he released tracks like "Transfiguration" in 1995 under the name Dave Davis and performed under various aliases, including Les Sabotages, Phrenetic System, and Davis & Santini. His performances have graced major clubs and festivals worldwide, including Mayday, Love Parade, Street Parade, and Francofolies De Spa, with a residency at Cherry Moon in Belgium.

JD Davis gained international acclaim through his collaborations with David Guetta, most notably on the 2004 album "Guetta Blaster", where he co-wrote, co-composed, and sang on the singles "The World Is Mine" and "In Love with Myself." His continued partnership with Guetta led to further success with the 2006 album "Pop Life", where he contributed to tracks like "Winner of the Game" and "This Is Not a Love Song." His work has earned him prestigious accolades, including the International Artist of the Year award at the Dance Music Awards in Kyiv for his collaboration on "The World Is Mine."

In addition to his collaborations with Guetta, Davis has worked with a wide array of artists, including Ramon Tapia, Mark Broom, Antoine Clamaran, Joachim Garraud, Kiko, Sinema, Playgroup (Trevor Jackson), Tocadisco, and Junior Jack. His versatility as a DJ, producer, and vocalist has kept him at the forefront of the electronic music scene.

From 2011, David began working in the studio with Joachim Garraud, further expanding his creative horizons. In 2013, he released new tracks on the UK label Skint Records, including "New Skin" and "Changed," featuring Skye of Morcheeba on vocals, and contributed a remix of Skye's single "Nowhere" for PIAS Records UK. His continued innovation and collaboration are exemplified by his 2023 rework of "Blue Monday" with Oliver Heldens and DJs from Mars, a track that received significant airplay across radio stations and clubs worldwide.

In 2016, David launched his own record label, "LAARK", marking a new chapter in his career. Over the years, his productions as Dave Davis and his vocal performances as JD Davis have generated over a billion streams on streaming platforms, solidifying his status as one of the most successful artists in the electronic music industry. With a career that spans decades and an enduring influence on the global music scene, JD Davis remains a dynamic and innovative force in electronic music.
